This is hot dipped galvanized mesh cut into convenient widths from 2 to 8 inches. These spools are used in the eves and foundation vents of buildings. Some housing codes in the southern USA require 8 mesh to exclude killer bees. but normally a 2 mesh(1/2 inch hole size) or 4 mesh(1/4 inch hole size) is used to stop small rodents, bats, birds and snakes. We can quickly and inexpensively cut these narrow spools into flat neatly stacked rectangles for your production needs. These meshes are also called bird block

People call galvanized hardware cloth by many different names, including, hot dipped screen wire, galvanized screen wire, or galvanized mesh. Sometimes its’ use is a name, like soffit screen or gopher screen, raccoon mesh, etc. It is an economical choice for industrial, agricultural and some residential uses. All hardware cloth is first woven or welded from steel wire and then dipped in a bath of molten zinc. This heavy zinc coating is also called galvanizing, serves to protect the mesh from corrosion, and stabilizes the crossover points of the wires, which makes them non-raveling. This family of meshes is sturdy, economical and heavy; not pretty and pricey.

Welded Hardware Cloth

The 1-inch mesh (1 mesh), the 2 mesh, and 4 mesh .025 inch are electrically welded before its galvanizing bath.

Woven Hardware Cloth

Minnow Traps are made from our Heavy Three Mesh (3x3 mesh) Galvanized after woven mesh. The heavy wire makes it heavy enough to sink the wooden framed traps without additional weights. Some of our customers allow the mesh to "weather" outdoors for a season to reduce the shiny appearance that may scare the minnows.

We sell Galvanized hardware cloth in 100-foot rolls. The standard widths are 24, 36, and 48 inches wide. We also produce and stock standard narrow widths: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12 inches wide by 100 feet long. We can also produce continuous 300-foot long roll lengths.

Custom widths up to 72 inches wide are available for orders of 50 rolls or more.
