Standard laquered bronze (90% copper, 10% zinc) has a clear protective coating which helps it retain its golden color. Test results indicate 5 year plus life at the seashore. It is 90% copper and 10% zinc. A longer lasting and self-darkening "Restoration Bronze" version is available.
